Outline Wairudo Hikku (Shoji)The protagonist Hik is a big-hearted, jocular fellow with a club and lives in the house of a boy named Shiyak.Shiyak and his parents live with Hik, and various problems befall the four as surreal jokes, which were popular in the 1960s’ to 70s’. Wairudo Hikku is a comedy animation series consisting of independent episodes. Hik’s weakness is that he is scared of rats, and although he sometimes gets into trouble because of them, he turns the tables with his flexible ideas and funny behavior and uses his trademark club to solve his troubles in a comedic fashion. The series features sketches like “Hik yawns and gets a dislocated jaw, but bashes it back into place using a hammer”, “When he tilts the TV, people on the screen fall over and hurt themselves”, and many other surreal jokes and nonsense jokes that were popular in the 1960s’ to 70s’. The series belongs to the genre of comedy animation for children.Unfortunately, the plan for the series was presented to Tokyo Movie (now known as TMS Entertainment Co., Ltd.) but rejected.Part of the script for this series that had survived appeared in a dojinshi (self-published magazine) issued by a certain circle on August 11, 2017, on the occasion of publishing an interview with Masaki Tsuji.*Magazine name: Bokurawo Sodateta Shinario to Misuteri no Sugoi Yonin*Publishing circle: Andnownokai
