Outline Redi Jojii (Lady Georgie)This is a TV animation series based on Georgie! a cartoon of five volumes written by Mann Izawa and illustrated by Yumiko Igarashi, serialized from 1982 in a comic magazine, Shukan Shojo Comic (Shogakukan).Georgie, a girl living in a stock farm in Sydney, Australia, becomes close friends with Lowell, a grandson of Australian governor. Triggered by that, her two brothers, Arthur and Abel, confess to her that they are in love with her.Their mother is worried about her sons and abuses Georgie telling her the truth that she is not her real daughter but a child of an exiled convict.After getting to know that she is not blood-related with her foster family, Georgie goes to England where her beloved Lowell lives. However, she finds there that Lowell cannot break off his engagement with Elise, his fiancée chosen by their families.Georgie and Lowell elope together but then Georgie gives up her love because Lowell gets seriously ill and they cannot earn enough money to live.After a while, she has a reunion with Abel, who has followed her to England and she gradually strengthens her love for him.Arthur, following Georgie to England same as Abel, is confined in an aristocrat’s house. When Abel gets to know about it, he saves Arthur in exchange for himself being confined.Georgie struggles to help Abel and with many people’s support, she finally succeeds in saving him.In the end, Georgie, together with Abel and Arthur, goes back to Australia where they were born and raised.
