Outline Mahou Shojo Raraberu (Lalabel, the Magic Girl)Lalabel is a girl training in the magic world. One day, while trying to catch Biscus who has stolen her magic bags, Lalabel falls into the human world with the thief.Arriving at a downtown area in Japan, Lalabel succeeds in retrieving one of the two stolen bags. However, she is unable to return to the magic world and has nowhere to go.Sakuzo Tachibana and his wife Ume help the poor girl.Lalabel finds it difficult to get used to the human world, where the norms of the magic world do not apply. However, as she gets closer to the Tachibanas and their grandchildren and experiences various things, Lalabel comes to like humans.Biscus, who had stolen the other magic bag, uses magic to evil ends and tries to take Lalabel’s bag, together with Tsumoro Ochiba whom he had met in the human world.Lalabel wishes to be friends with humans, while Biscus believes that wizards/witches and humans are just like oil and water. The two confront each other at a snowy mountain, use various tools from their bags and carry out a magic battle, but eventually run out of magic tools. Without any magic tools left in their bags, they are unable to use magic and thus become ordinary human beings.After losing their magical powers, the two get lost in the snowy mountain. It is the Tachibanas and other people who save them.Biscus mends his ways after this incident, and Lalabel is happy that she can now live with the others as an ordinary human being.Mahou Shojo Raraberu was a magical girl anime produced by Toei Animation based on the original by Eiko Fujiwara, and a total of 49 episodes were broadcast as the final series of the Toei Majokko Series. Each episode ends with Sakuzo presenting a proverb or maxim.
