Shonen Ashibe 2 *The scenario of the book collection is the sequelAshibe Ashiya is an elementary school kid. He always goes to school with his best friend and classmate, Sugao Anan.One day, Ashibe’s father, who is a carpenter, accidentally starts a fire during work.The Ashiyas are forced to sell their house, and they move to a place near the father’s parents’ house and start a new life there.Not long after moving house, Ashibe finds a white animal abandoned on the road.Ashibe finds out that the animal is a baby seal and names it Gomachan with his parents’ permission, and all of them start living together as a family.Meanwhile, Ashibe’s friend Sugao and his family are going to move to Nepal, as his father has been transferred there.Sugao is still not used to the unfamiliar environment and his new school. But one day, Sugao encounters the Yeti, or abominable snowman, who has come down from the snowy mountains. After that, he has many peculiar experiences with the Yeti.Ashibe and Sugao keep in touch through letters and other means and tell each other about their new lives, friends they have made, and that they are happy and well. Even when far apart, their friendship is unchanged.Finally, Ashibe and Sugao live life as usual, dreaming that someday they will be able meet each other again together with their new, unusual friends.Shonen Ashibe 2 was initially released as an OVA series; subsequently, the anime’s first season was broadcast on TV in 1991, and the sequel in 1993.The title of the latest series was changed to GO! GO! Gomachan in April 2018. This popular series is a fantasy story for kids and portrays people, a seal, and the Yeti living together after the Sugao family return to Japan. |
