[Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam]The year is Universal Century 0087, 7 years after the “One Year War” – the battle between the “Earth Federation” and “Principality of Zeon” using “Mobile Suits.” After the battle is over, the Federation continued to pollute the Earth under the name of post-war development. Under the corruption of the government, General Jamitov Hymem, the elite counter-insurgency force “Titan” was established to annihilate anyone who opposed the Federation’s post-war policies in cold-blood. In the end, the force used poison gases to commit genocide.Brigadier Blex Forer, in an attempt to stop the Titans’ brutal actions, established Anti-Earth Union Group (AEUG). With the help of Kamille Bidan, a civilian, the group succeeded in stealing “Gundam MK-II” - the latest version of the “Gundam” – the symbol for the counterattacks during the “One Year War.” The conflicts between the Titans and AEUG escalated into what later known as the “Gryps Conflict.” During this same war, Brigadier Blex fell victim into an assassination orchestrated by the Titans. Quattro Bajeerna – the former captain in the battle against the Principality of Zeon who later become the leader of AEUG – occupied the Federation Assembly to denounce the Titans’ act of using poison gas to commit genocide. The court soon ruled the Titans’ actions to be inhumane and turned to support AEUG as their regular force.As things started turning AEUG’s way, the third axis – “Axis Zeon” (also called Axis) – joined the war under the leadership of Haman Karn. While Axis tried offering to form an alliance with both the Titans and AEUG, Paptimus Scirocco assassinated Jamitov to dominate the Titans, dragging the war into further disarray.The story ended with the Axis retreating from the “Gryps Conflict” and Kamille riding the “Z Gundam” to kill Scirocco, annihilate the Titans. |
